The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes
I've always loved Sherlock Holmes stories. After enjoying "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes," I'm very much into this second series. It's nice to see some cases from when Holmes was starting out as a detective, like in the "The Musgrave Ritual." And of course, there's the brilliant "Final Problem." Highly recommended for mystery fans and Holmesian writers!

The Time Machine
The Time Machine is rooted in its Victorian-Edwardian era: time travel as conducted by a proper gentleman. It also goes a little more into H.G. Wells's social views than I realized, but it's not bad by any means. A decent story of adventure and marvels told through a dry tone.

The Art of War
The Art of War has two central concepts: know yourself, know your enemy. This is for leaders who strike when opportunity present itself, who manage their resources wisely, and who keep their passions in check. Clear thinking from a timeless source.
