For sheer spine-tingling horror, Dracula can hold its own against any contemporary thriller. As seductive as he is dangerous, Count Dracula arrives on London’s shores ready to wreak a darkly romantic sort of havoc. No one is safe while Dracula lives and it is up to the brilliant Professor Van Helsing to end the vampire’s reign of terror.

Dracula is my most favorite story of all. Iloved the Diary of Dracula with Tom Cruise.
Now asbout this story. Yes it surly seems to flow very nicely. I have trouble understanding the words as they are put together, but with a little thought I succed in understanding. The story is very interesting. It is as if it could have really happened. But of course I get caught up in the story as it is told. I am enjoying very much. I look forward to each chapter as it unfolds another stage of the story.

I really liked this book. I liked how the whole book was written using letters and journal entries from the characters. I couldn't wait to get to each new chapter.

The well-known story is similar to many film adaptations so the plot will come as no surprise to most readers.

It is still a tale of excitement and great imagination, with gallant men and a stalwart heroine who must fight to overcome the evil vampire.

On the downside, the speech and manners of the characters are very dated, which can be a little tedious and repetitive to read, even if accurate to the period.

I read this book with great expectations. The method of story telling was interesting - yet problematic for me. Also, the ending was quite disappointing. I really don't understand our culture's obsession with movies and books about vampires. Frankly, there are better things to spend your time on.

I really prefer reading a horror than to see a movie. For me it started out slow. But I got used to the diary form and it was just fantastic. I can't wait to read another!!

this is one of my all time favorites -- book or the movie. Never has there ever been such a romance ever told.

Stoker’s style is incredibly atmospheric, evocative and sensual, drawing the reader into a dark world filled with tumultuous emotions, madness and sexual awakening, even making the protagonist, the brooding Count himself, a figure to be pitied and admired, as well as feared.

Whether or not you have seen any of the hundreds of film adaptations of this classic, really you should treat yourself to reading it first-hand, and experiencing the chilling mix of desire and horror

there are so many derivations of the original story that it was genuinely surprising to read it and appreciate the originality and approach - excellent book!

Unique in it's style but much copied since, this is a wonderful tale that is genuinely chilling. It had certainly made me want to visit some of the locations mentioned.

There's a reason this is a classic. It's a great book. Most of us know the general outline of the story because of other adaptations of the Dracula story, but if you haven't already read the original by Bram Stoker, do it.

Another great classic
Having watched the films, the book definitely pulls it off with an eerie aura the whole way through. The spine chilling encounters and escapades of the count make this story well worth visiting in written form.
