Persuasion
Jane Austen
86 Installments

Lonely Anne Elliot lives a life of resignation and regret, a cruel consequence of long ago honoring her snobbish family's wishes above her own. But when her old flame Frederick Wentworth suddenly returns, old secrets and new romances bring Anne swirling back into the thick of life. The most biting of Austen’s satires.

I LOVED this book as well. I love Jane Austen altoghether, but this and Pride & Prejudice are my absolute favorites. My own relationship with my husband had taken somewhat the same toll as Annes and Wentworths. Seperated for a few years... coming to find out that the love was stronger than ever! I LOVED THIS! That letter from Wentworth was beyond expression. I was so deeply affected by it i read it time and time again. I will read this again. I hope to see the movie soon. I just fall in love with Jane Austens characters so easily. Ive read a few of her books and once i read them all...i will start over again... with this one.

Enjoyed reading it! You just get into another time, another relations, another epoch. Everything is different, and not only dresses, but connections beteween peple, treatment to each other, and feelins and expressions. subtly, emotionally, WONDERFUL !

At times I struggled through the installments of this classic and at times I greedily clicked "send the next installment immediately" over and over. The ending was well worth the reading!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel. It has become one of my favorites now. I could almost feel the anxiety and agony Anne goes through before knowing what Captain Wentworth thought of her. I was so overwhelmed with joy for Anne while reading Captain Wentworth's letter to her. It was such a wonderful portrait of everlasting love.

My favorite thing about this one is that Anne is older than Jane Austen's other heroines. (not much of a review, I know)

Such a lovely story
This is my favorite book. I love the idea of second chances. And, though it is subtle, and takes a while, I love how, when it matters most, Miss Elliott (the main character) learns to trust herself and no longer be obliging out of a feeling of filial duty and wanting to keep the peace.
