I love this book. I love classic books anyway, but this one hits a vein. Louisa May Alcott is an author I'll have to pay more attention to. It's funny how some books just stands the test of time.

I did not enjoy reading this book. It was difficult to connect with the characters.

I love Louisa May Alcott. Though this book lacks the eternal rightness of "Little Women", it is still a romantic, "old-fashioned" tale and I really liked it.

I really enjoyed this book. I think if I had read it as an adolescent I would have really loved it. I would have given the book 5/5 if it weren't for the VERY slow development of the characters. I felt like the first part of the book read a bit slower than the latter. But it is a great story and I would recommend to anyone who is a Louisa May Alcott fan.

I adore this book, it's second only to Little Women. The story is straightforward enough, but it leads you to think about a working woman's place in the 19th century and the pitfalls of idleness, as well. I find the heroine quite inspirational! And it reminds you to be careful when riding your velocipede :)

I went through this one really quickly. I got so caught up with the story I couldn't stop reading.
