Edwin Abbott
34 Installments

A square inhabiting a two-dimensional realm comes into contact with a mysterious sphere that opens his mind to the existence of higher dimensions and threatens to upend the rigid social order of his homeland. I read it because a friend recommended it. It's all right, but it reads like an extended sermon illustration. People have difficulty communicating because of the differences in their backgrounds, environments, expectations, etc. I imagine it would be more fun if it was written with more skill.

I had heard good things about Flatland, but just really couldn't find much in it to make me want to continue the read. I did finish, but mostly because I'm stubborn.
