Harold and the Purple Crayon did it for me. Oh what would that crazy Harold draw next to get him out of the mess he drew himself in to?
And then, The Phantom Tollbooth. Even more fun to read it to each of my 3 kids later on to fully appreciate the brilliance of the writing. Having to deal with the Doldroms, Someday Isle, and needing to avoid Jumping to Conclusions - Love it!
