I never went to summer camp but I do remember the long hot summer days when I would sit under a tree in the shade on a blanket reading after the garden work was done. My favorites include Trixie Bellin mysteries, Up A Road Slowly by Irene Hunt - I read this one at least 13 times and the Laura Ingalls Wilder series.
