Question of the Week - Question of the Week #14: Books You Hate
I really could not stand Wuthering Heights. I found Heathcliff and Catherine to be very disagreeable. I could hardly stand them.
Etc. - Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
I do like these books. They're fun and Stephenie Meyer is a fabulous writer, i might add.

The Cross of Snow
by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
In the long, sleepless watches of the night,
A gentle face--the face of one long dead--
Looks at me from the wall, where round its head
The night-lamp casts a halo of pale light.
Here in this room she died, and soul more white
Never through martyrdom of fire was led
To its repose; nor can in books be read
The legend of a life more benedight.
There is a mountain in the distant West
That, sun-defying, in its deep ravines
Displays a cross of snow upon its side.
Such is the cross I wear upon my breast
These eighteen years, through all the changing scenes
And seasons, changeless since the day she died.

She always said she would escape someday. But we didn’t believe her. She was always a dreamer, staring out the window, waiting for her prince to rescue her. But we lived our lives, breathing, and focusing. We didn’t realize how desperate she was until she ran away with the hippies.

We packed our bags into the car the morning before the derby. Lydia stood outside, sad faced and teary.
“What’s wrong, Lydia, sweetie?” We asked kindly.
“I hate horses.” She said, tromping off to her room.
The next day we forced her into the car and headed for the races.
Dracula - Delightful
Although slightly difficult (for me) to get through, it is a wonderful story and enjoyed every minute of it.

His eye twitches with tension. He licks his lips and stares into his opponent’s eyes.
“Ready?” He questions the other, squinting his eyes. The other nods and balls his right hand into a fist. He does the same.
One, two, three!
Hands pounding, they show the weapon. Paper beats rock.
