Paranoia - Might have been a good read
I gave this one nearly a week but I just couldn't do it. I just find it difficult to believe a CEO with all the description the author gave him, to drop the 'f' word every other sentence. All the CEOs I've known, even the dirty ones, knew how to drive fear into a person without lowering themselves that way. For the main character it's believable, though a little over the top.
But the cliche is what lost me in the end. "That's not a threat. That's a promise"? Seriously? Again, from a high class well educated CEO? Seems he wouldn't need to say anything at all just give the right sneer to convey the same thing in a much less cartoonish way.
Still, I would LOVE to see how this pans out. I'd see the movie if it were ever made - that's only two hours of my life wasted. :)
