3 Short Reads by Edgar Allan Poe - Read them out loud, with FEELING!

Truly brilliant writing. A friend of mine once performed the Tell-Tale Heart, from memory, for our 9th grade English class. He over-dramatized the heck out of it, which made it a bit comical, but it was easily one of the highlights of my school days! Try reading it out loud yourself, or to a friend or loved one, and have some fun with it!

The Masque of the Red Death, on the other hand, it not exactly an upper, or comical, in any way, which is probably one of the reasons it's not nearly as popularly or fondly remembered. I mean, what an ending! Everybody dies and it stays that way, forever. Sheesh.

The Raven is beautiful poetry, albeit (as always with Poe) on the darker side of life. Read it out loud as well for best effect. Then, listen to The Alan Parsons Project album "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" and enjoy another interpretation of this classic literature.
