Moby Dick - Ahab's Wife
Ahab's Wife is a gorgeous, sweeping novel that takes one sentence from MD and expands upon it. It's wonderful to get the other perspective, while Ahab is at sea what his wife was doing and more importantly how she got to be the person she was.
I read MD so long ago that all that's stuck with me is the whiteness of the whale so I am now plodding through... "Terrors upon terrors run shouting through his soul..."
