The Intellectual Devotional II - Deeply Offended by Today's (3/31/12) Devotional

In today's Devotion about chemists and Prohibition, there are several statements thta are deeply offensive to families of acholics....."the Temperence movement *** movement was overwhelmingly (and unsurprisingly) made up by women who were sick of their husbands coming home drunk when they weren't allow to join in the fun. ***Hell hath no fury like a group of sober women scorned." Not a joking matter for women trying to protect their children from drunken fathers nor for the children who have seen those fathers sloppy or nasty drunk. Not a joking matter for women who have been beaten by drunken husbands. Prohibition was a mistake, but don't make fun of the victims of alcholism.

The Intellectual Devotional - In need of some editing...

I agree and more than that I am disappointed with the second series. Such a lack of variety....for the past seven posts nothing but health articles. If I really wanted health articles I could find many more appropriate for me in hundreds of places on the net. I don't mind a health article now and then but not day after day. I expected more variety as in the first series.
