Question of the Week - Question of the Week #46: Childhood Favorites

Speaking of Old Mother West Wind, those books are available from the Thornton Burgess Society site: http://www.thorntonburgess.org/index.htm Perhaps it's time for a Burgess revival.

Ideas - Comics?

Just posted my review of DailyINK at http://potrzebie.blogspot.com/

Ideas - Comics?

King Features' excellent DailyINK could serve as a model: http://www.dailyink.com/en-us/content_offerings/features.php?category=Vintage Readers pay $15 a year to have classic and current strips delivered daily in email. But since King only offers 11 vintage strips, there's plenty of room for DailyLit to step in with more strips (and there are certainly many public domain strips).

Ideas - Comics?

One way to do this would be with vintage newspaper comic strips. I would suggest LITTLE ANNIE ROONEY, THE TIMID SOUL, POGO, ABBIE AND SLATS, TOOTS AND CASPER, SMOKY STOVER. Take a look at what King Features does with their DailyINK email service; it's great to start each day reading a single BUZ SAWYER strip from 1945.
