Good!!
I enjoyed reading this story. Jane's struggle to overcome her circumstances that life delt her is intense and enoyable.

I LOVE the book though it is incredibly sad in a true-life sort of way. Very grey and depressing! Makes me cry for those who do not get the redemption at the end that Jane did.
It is amazing how she stayed sweet through all of the terrible abuses she suffered. I often wonder what the great appeal of such stories are for so many. The movie version of 1970? is amazing! My grandmother had real life stories that are far worse than Jane's friend standing in the rain and getting pneumonia.Jan 11, 2009 11:12 pm
