Anyone interested in reading and talking about Austen's Sense and Sensibility? I'm new at this, so no pressure! Just relaxing talk about a great novel.

I am about half way through with Sense & Sensibility and am looking forward to reading more Austen. I am really enjoying it! And just love the characters! Anyone else reading it currently or wanting to?

I have read it once before, last summer along with Pride & Prejudice and found it to be a very enjoyable novel. Currently I am reading Norhtanger Abbey, and if you get the chance, you should read it. Similar to her other work, it is humorous and exceedingly satisfying! She is a wonderful author.

I just finished Sense and Sensibility, and right before that I reread Pride and Prejudice. S & S is really well written - Austen combines really sensitive, human characters with a very cagey cultural critique - that whole world was dominated by social class and inheritance, to the detriment of human feeling. She was able to capture these brilliant little moments of irony.
I'm on to Emma.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm excited about Austen's writing. A few friends of mine have also decided to read her and its wonderful to discuss with them and the forum! Thanks!

I have read Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. Both are favorites of mine. Jane Austen is incredible. I have also read Emma. I want to read Northanger Abbey next. Have you seen the shows on PBS? Very good.
