INCREDIBLE
I read this book in hopes of getting a sense of the history of my culture. I had no idea how terrible things were during slavery and how blessed we are today to have the freedoms we currently possess. This story is told with truth and intelligence and gives you a honest view on what was and reminds us how far we've come. I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to raise their awareness of non-traditional American history and casual readers the same. I was so touched by the story that I went out and bought the book because the reading provided here was not enough to satisfy my thirst.
