charming 'classic' mystery
I had not heard of this title before subscribing to it on Daily Lit, but decided to give it a go because I had a hankering for a mystery.
Each day that it arrives in my IN box I love it more.
It is a charming piece of period fiction - a light confection that is part Wilkie Collins' 'Moonstone' mixed with the richly drawn characters and pace of Agatha Christie's Miss Maple at her curtain-twitching best. Perhaps some of the enjoyment I find in this book is derived from the instalment delivery too.
